Bell & Ross put up good competition for accuracy in space by launching ‘Space 1’. This model was selected by the German astronaut ‘Reinhart Furrer’, when he flew into space on Spacelab mission in 1983. Such awards were achieved due to a team compiled carefully by the Frenchmen. This team comprised of experts on aircraft and space controls, especially a German watchmaker Sinn. Right from the onset the two Frenchmen had the vision of making a highly accurate instrument for use under extreme working conditions. The aviator’s watch the ‘BR Instrument’ is based on the form of cockpit instruments of aircrafts. Similarly the Hydromax model contains hydraulic fluid in its case to help withstand exterior pressures. The BRS Collection carries the distinctive feature of having a ceramic scratch resistant case with graceful ceremonial visual treats. The ‘Space 3’ chronograph is said to encase all the features Bell & Ross can offer. It has a T-Crown system. It is a retractable winding crown which is completely embodied in the case. Another model ‘Hydro Challenger’ saw its way into the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the world water-resistance record at the depth of 11,000 meters. As with all the luxury watches, these watches are in limited edition; which makes them rare and costly. There is an economical way to own such a historical watch. One can always purchase a replica Bell & Ross to beat the high prices. The replica bears good resemblance to its original; only a trained eye can spot a difference if any. However the users of the replica are advised to avoid shower, swimming and diving when wearing it. Because the replica Bell & Ross is not as waterproof as its original. |

Bell&Ross is a relatively newer brand, which was established in 1992, by two Frenchmen. Bruno Belamich and Carlos A. Rosilo set up their manufactory in Switzerland. They established their business with a vision of watches marked with excellence. All watches of the brand bear striking functional features. The Frenchmen responsible for their unique designs proudly claim that functionality of their watches dictates the form of the design. Watches made specifically for submarines and aviation took back seat in the fashion world after 60s. But Bell & Ross revived their demand by launching the Hydromax, which proved its functionality at the depth of 10,000 meters. Thus making it ideal for use by submarine personnel.
